I was asked to take part in a project that was all about the sharing of women’s voices, globally. So how could I possibly say no? A lot of my work – both journalistic and academic – revolves around the exploration and acceptance of differing women’s identity in today’s society, so for me this was an interesting project to become involved in. For me, personally, over the years looking in the mirror hasn’t always been so easy – I haven’t always been happy with what – or who – I saw looking back at me. But now I do.
