Summer in London is not quite the tropical paradise of which we see in pop videos and songs dedicated to the sunshine season. Air conditioning breaks down in offices, people neglect basic personal hygiene on public transport at this, the warmest months of our year and cars and buses hack out hot grot that sticks to our clammy skin and we all end up looking a bit grubby and dishevelled and nothing how it looks in the magazines.

However, there is redemption. There is euro pop glam hope for that TK Maxx bargain bikini nestling at the back of your knicker drawer. That beach-honed body of yours painfully crafted in cold February evenings down the gym will not go to waste, hell NO, as this month at our return to KOKO we fling open the doors for the start of the Guilty Pleasures Summer Season! First stop – Club Tropicana!

Bringing the sunshine indoors and covered in streaky fake tan with necks like Judith Chalmers you hosts, dancers and djs for the night on our hedonistic holiday indoors will be:

For those that are lucky enough to bag a summer fling (ok, one night stand) then head up the stairs to the Erection Section on the balcony bar and a wealth of power ballads, torch songs and romantic pop schlop will be the perfect soundtrack to your snogging, canoodling or cathartic sob fest when you get turned down by the hot girl in the daisy duke shorts.

What with us all being on our hols and that, the dress code is simple – swimming cozzies, trunks, flip flops, sunglasses, rubber rings, bukinis and copious amounts of exposed / wobbly / sunburnt skin (delete where as appropriate).

Oh what fun lies ahead so come join us as we slip into our speedos, knock back the piña coladas and fall over in the paddling pool down at our first beach party of the summer.
