Lulu is an academic with a Ph.D in Sociology from Goldsmiths. She is a Visiting Lecturer and Module Leader for University of West London, Roehampton, and University of Westminster. Her first book ‘Surrogacy and the Reproduction of Normative Family on TV’ is out now through Palgrave Macmillan.

Lulu is also a professional DJ – or as she likes to describe herself, a “PhDJ” –  with residencies at the Ned, Birch, the Soho House group and the House of St Barnabas in London.

Alongside her DJ and academic work, Lulu is a qualified sub-editor, copywriter, and co-founded music consultancy agency TAON (The Art of Noise) that elevates health and fitness brands through music.
